We did it! The Laughing Dog team raised over £2,800 for Guide Dogs last month with the National Three Peak Challenge. Taking on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon from the 25 -27 May, the team walked 23 miles with a total ascent of 10,052 feet. As you can imagine, our notoriously flat (but beautiful) Lincolnshire countryside did not make for the ideal training ground! Early starts, late nights and typical British weather certainly made the three peaks a tough challenge, but an event that rewarded the team with breath-taking views and most importantly allowed us to raise an incredible amount for the Guide Dogs. Dave Bloor from the Guide Dogs said: "We are thrilled to see all the amazing things Laughing Dog Food are doing this year to support Guide Dogs. Their support will enable another puppy to start their training to become a guide dog who will change the life of a person with sight loss, giving them the confidence to live the life they choose."
The Perfect Dog-friendly Day Out
A perfect day out for all the family, the Cotswold Wildlife Park, near Burford in Oxfordshire, was set up in 1970 in the green, leafy grounds of 19th Century Bradwell Grove Manor House. John Heyworth, who was born in the house, opened up to the public and put 230 animals in the grounds. Now the park boasts more than 2,000 animals!
John, a lover of dogs, would allow his four-legged friends to roam about with him while working at the park, and firmly believed that dogs (kept under safe control) should not be excluded from the experience. As such the park was designed to allow dogs to accompany their owners around the wildlife park. Reggie Heyworth, John's son, today continues his father's work in providing a unique experience for dogs and their owners. We love spending time at the park and are very excited that our tasty baked treats are stocked in their lovely shop!

Each dog will be posted separately throughout June and once posted we will give you two days for you to comment with your chosen name. Then our bakers will pick out their favourite names (they will be looking for creativity and originality), which we will announce on our social pages and the winner will receive £50 worth of Laughing Dog food of their choice. If more than one person comments with the same winning name, your entry will go into a randomly selected prize draw.
