Zoe's Three Peak Challenge training

Tell us a little bit about yourself. What’s your role at Laughing Dog?

I am the face behind social media and customer service, spending the majority of my day interacting with our lovely customers and their four-legged friends. I often talk to customers over the phone, via social media and through our live chat. If you've ordered food from Laughing Dog, you're bound to have spoken to me at some point!

What inspired you to take on the Three Peak Challenge?

I just love a challenge and I am determined to finish this event. The fact that it's for such a good cause makes it even more motivating.

 Why the Guide Dogs?

We work with dogs and spending time with the Guide Dogs has helped me learn a lot more about how clever, kind and caring our canine companions are. They are such an important part of our lives. The Guide Dog charity help people get through their every day life and it makes me think, what if I had no sight? How would I cope? It’s such an amazing cause.

Have you ever done a challenge like this before?

The answer is simply no! I have climbed a couple of mountains before but nothing to this scale and in this time frame. I’m looking forward to putting myself to the test.

Do you think you’ll ever do one again?

If I manage to get through the Three Peak Challenge then I will be looking into Everest Base Camp (over 19 days) but I think I need to learn to walk before I run..!

How are you preparing for the walk?

I am walking my dog twice a day on really long walks, up and down the countryside fields in Lincolnshire. I have also tested myself by walking Ingleborough recently (one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks). I also have plans to climb Scafell Pike this month!

Any of the Laughing Dog team will tell you that I have been eating really healthily over the last couple of months - finding foods to ensure for slow release energy. I think our nutritionists have become quite used to me picking their brains for healthy recipe ideas!

What are you looking forward to the most?

Two things really - the amazing views on the way up and the feeling of self-achievement when I have completed all three!

Is there anything you’re not looking forward to?

Being hungry, tired and cold! But I’ll get through that.
